Full CGI - Car modeled from scratch
After making a lot of Arch-viz projects at work, I had grown tired of it completely and wanted to try something else.
I decided to improve my modeling skills, and what better way to do that than to make a complex supercar from scratch. This project took longer than I care to admit, and it was quite a frustrating experience, but in the end, I learned a ton of new techniques, and I finally feel comfortable modeling even complex objects.
I made the car itself completely from scratch, both model and shaders, with the only thing downloaded being the textures.
I made the pine forest using mainly megascans assets and downloaded trees, which I scattered using Forestpack. The ground is simply a combination of several noise modifiers and displacement maps.
95% of the process was done in 3DS Max using V-ray as my renderer, although I did make a few texture tweaks in Substance Painter, and I did all of my compositing in photoshop.
